Photo Consent & Safety
Last updated: 1 October 2026 · Effective: 1 October 2026
PairBooth should connect two people who know and trust each other. A booth code is not permission to photograph, and a captured photo is not permission to post it elsewhere.
Before opening the camera
- Confirm both participants are at least 16.
- Explain that captured still photos will be uploaded temporarily and shown to the other booth participant.
- Agree on what may appear in the photo and whether the final strip may be downloaded or shared.
- Check the background for addresses, identity documents, work information, screens, children or other people.
- Send the booth code privately to one intended person.
During a booth
The camera preview stays on each participant’s device until that person chooses to capture a pose. PairBooth does not need microphone access. Either participant should stop if they feel uncomfortable. Close the browser or select “End booth & delete photos” to leave and request deletion.
Never use PairBooth for
- nudity or sexual content involving anyone under 18;
- intimate content captured or shared without clear, specific permission;
- secret recording, coercion, blackmail, impersonation or harassment;
- violence, exploitation, credible threats or other unlawful material;
- images intended for facial recognition, identity fraud or surveillance.
After downloading
Ask again before posting, forwarding or printing a strip. Permission to participate in the booth does not automatically include public sharing. Store sensitive photos securely and delete them when they are no longer wanted.
Report a concern
Email help@pairbooth.com with the approximate date/time, what happened and whether the booth may still be active. Do not attach intimate images or suspected child sexual abuse material. PairBooth may request limited additional information through a safer channel, close the booth, remove content and preserve or report information where legally required.
Immediate danger
PairBooth is not monitored as an emergency service. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger. In Belgium and throughout the European Union, call 112.
